From Loch Garten Lodges there is easy access to many outdoor activities on your doorstep
Walking
Loch Garten Lodges sits on the Speyside way with beautiful trails stretching for miles. Nethy Bridge is an easy walk along the Speyside way where you can reward yourself with a coffee and a piece of cake in the Nethy House Café. For a longer walk continue onwards to Grantown on Spey.
In Aviemore itself is the Aviemore circular route – a short walk round the outskirts of the town.
Loch An Eilein is a stunning loch with an easy path all the way around. It is very picturesque with a small island and stunning views.
There are also miles of trail round Rothiemurchus and Loch Morlich. It’s another stunning walk up to the Green Loch (Lochan Uaine) and then on to Ryvoan Bothy.
For the more adventurous there are numerous munros in the Cairngorms to be bagged – but only if you know what you are doing.
Biking
Fantastic cycling all around the area both on road bikes and mountain bikes. There are various bike shops where bikes can be hired eg Ride Scotland , in Boat of Garten.
Water sports
There are watersports centres both at Loch Morlich and Loch Insh where you can canoe, paddle board and sail.
Wild Swimming
For the brave, the lochs near the park are ideal for your morning dip!

On the Spey.
Skiing
When snow conditions allow ski-ing is available at Cairngorm and also The Lecht.
Golf
Boat of Garten golf club, Abernethy, Carrbridge and Spey Valley Golf Course are all minutes away from the site. Castle Stuart regular host of the Scottish Open is less than 1 hour drive away on the Moray coast.
